Institute of Languages and Cultures of the Peoples of the North-East

The Institute of Languages and Cultures of the Peoples of the Northeast was opened by the order of NEFU Rector E.I.Mikhailova in 2010, based on Sakha Philology and Culture Faculty, and Northern Philology Department of Philology Faculty.

Mission of the Institute of Languages and Cultures of the Peoples of the Northeast is becoming a centre of humanitarian and pedagogic education of the Northeast region of the Russian Federation, to keep and to develop its cultural-educational space, to give the qualitative classical arts education answering to the international standards and requirements of consumers and employers.

Our institute co-operates with the International linguistic organization Silinc, Tokyo State University (Japan) and Seoul State University (South Korea). Students and teachers can study abroad under the international program "North-to-North".

We are glad to inform you that this year the new directions "Service" and "Tourism" were opened.

One of the main features of work with students are creative studios, which successfully develop talents of the youth since 1995.
