9 projects of the federal university to be presented at the Russian Startup Tour

On April 1, the fifth stage of Russia’s largest road show of representatives of the innovative economy will be held in Yakutsk on the base of North-Eastern Federal University. Leading experts of the Russian development institutions with the participation of venture capital funds and corporations will evaluate the projects of the republic innovators, the best of which will be able to get tickets to the “Skolkovo”.

NEFU represented more than 100 innovative projects to the experts. According to the organizers, this number is a record among most of the higher education institutions. Russian experts selected nine of them for participation. Total about 20 projects from the republic will be presented on the road show.

RST priority areas - information technology, space technology, energy efficiency, new materials, nuclear technology, pharmaceuticals and biomedicine. The university represented startups in all fields, except space and nuclear technologies.

“NEFU projects relate mainly to the development of construction and transport complex, biotechnologies, information technologies and housing and utility sector. I think that there are those who can get tickets to the “Skolkovo” among them, said Mikhail Kudrin, the director of NEFU Center for Commercialization of Intellectual Property. Especially, I would like to mention the innovative activity of these academic units as the Institutes of Medicine, Technology, Physics and Technologies, Mirny Polytechnic Institute”.

The representatives of “Rosmolodezh”, “Skolkovo”, “RVC”, “RUSNANO” will judge presentations of the Yakut innovators and conduct master classes and special consultations.

Russian Startup Tour is held in Yakutsk for the first time. This is the longest tour across the regions of the leading experts of the Russian development institutions, with the participation of venture capital funds and large corporations. “We are looking for new heroes - people of the future, who due to their talents and insistence will become successful businessmen. And we will help them in this”, said tour organizers.
