NEFU educational programs: Foreign students to see diamond transformation into cut diamond

NEFU will develop the unique educational program on diamonds for foreign students, teachers and specialists within the frameworks of Diamond Week of Yakutia. It was announced on April 1 at the meeting of Christopher Gas, the director of the Educational Agency Educouturier with the rector of the federal university Evgenia Mikhailova and Ekaterina Kormilitsyna, Minister for Enterprise and Tourism Development.

“I have been to many Russian universities, but NEFU attracted me the most. I think that the university has huge potential - it may unite industry and science. We plan to develop the unique educational program together with NEFU International Relations Office. Foreign students and specialists in diamonds may take part in it”, Christopher Gas said.

He noted that the program will be a great experience for educational tourism in Yakutia. During the first week, leading scientists, professors of NEFU will lecture to students. And during the second week of the training, foreign students will become participants of the Diamond Week, including visiting of the diamond cutting companies.

“NEFU Institute of Physics and Technologies has the only in Russia and worldwide specialty “Proccessing Technology of Precious Stones and Metals”. I think that the experience of your employees will be interesting to many students and specialists in diamonds in the world”, said the director of the Educational Agency.

Minister Ekaterina Kormilitsyna expressed readiness to cooperate and support the educational project.
