Foreign students to acquaint with the culture of Yakutia

On July 7, Opening Ceremony of the Summer School "Russian Language and Culture in Siberia" was held at NEFU. 19 students from Italy, Sweden, Japan, Germany, Mongolia, Norway, France, Canada, China and South Korea became participants of the summer school.

The main aim of the school - studying Russian language, to acquaint students with the Yakut and Russian culture, with the specializations of the federal university.

"International Summer School at the university is held annually. Many students come to us again, they come back not only to learn the Russian language, but for the further admission to NEFU. For example, John Anderson is now a student of the Institute of Finances and Economics and successfully participates in Russian and international conferences and forums", says Professor Svetlana Petrova, the head of the "Russian as a foreign language" Department of NEFU Philological Faculty.

Vladlen Kugunurov, head of NEFU International Relations, acquainted students with the university. Ludmila Efimova, PhD, associate professor of NEFU Institute of Languages ​​and Culture of Peoples of NE RF held algys ceremony for participants of the summer school.
