NEFU and the University of the Arctic conducted courses on mining industry
Visiting session of "Cold lands" seminar with participation of PhD candidates of the University of the Arctic finished work in Neryungri. PhD courses on mining industry passed from November 9 to November 15 on the base of Neryungri Technical Institute – NEFU branch.
According to NEFU Pro-rector for Natural and Mathematical Development Mikhail Prisyazhny, the format of PhD-school allows PhD candidates to focus on a certain scientific problem, to correct the theoretical methodologies and structure of future thesis.
The co-director of thematic network, Professor of the University of Tromso Gunhild Hoogensen Gjørv thanked organizers for support and carrying out courses in Yakutia. "Thanks to travel-grants of the federal university, the geography of project participants extended. NEFU is the key partner of the thematic network, and the Norwegian party will support demands of NEFU PhD candidates in system of travel-grants within the following courses of the thematic network", professor noted.
Participants and lecturers of courses were handed certificates and letters of thanks. Employees of students research works sector of NEFU branch in Neryungri are marked out for assistance in the organization of courses.
