North-Eastern Federal University to cooperate with the Australian universities

NEFU plans to cooperate with the Australian universities. On November 21, Vladimir Gorokhov, the Honorary Consul of Australia in the Far Eastern Federal District, Senior Business Development Manager of the Australian Trade Commission visited the federal university.

According to the Honorary Consul, the Australian Trade Commission is working in two directions: trade and economic cooperation and cooperation in the field of education. The purpose of his visit was to collect information on possible areas of cooperation of Yakutia and Australia. "20% of students in Australia are foreign citizens. There are not enough Russian students, but the Australian universities interested in training of students from Russia. It is no secret that they have an excellent level. And in return we do a lot of work for cooperation of the Australian and Russian universities", the Honorary Consul of Australia said.

NEFU Rector Evgenia Mikhailova acquainted the guests with the activities of the university, told about the main directions of the university. "I understand that during our business meeting it is impossible to learn everything about NEFU. However, I see that the university is developing dynamically and I hope that in the future it will expand its cooperation due to our organization”, Vladimir Gorokhov said at the end of the meeting.
