NEFU best students visited Microsoft in Moscow

North-Eastern Federal University continues cooperation with Microsoft. Within the frameworks of the partnership development, 73 students of the university visited the central Russian Microsoft office in Moscow, according to NEFU IT Management.

Microsoft specialists have told the students about the latest technological developments, opportunities for internships and participation in other projects of the company, including the international technology competition ImagineCup. Students, in turn, have expressed interest in the possibility of free use of Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus on five devices for every user: laptop, tablet or smartphone.

Head of NEFU IT Management Peter Ivanov noted that the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and North-Eastern Federal University traditionally support the talented youth of the republic. "Acquaintance with the experience and the staff of the world's leading corporations allows students to fully understand the full range of opportunities in choosing a future profession", the head of management said.

"We strive to create opportunities for self-realization of young people, contributing to the issues of employment and entrepreneurial skills, education, increasing the availability of digital technology, freedom of creativity and innovation development. Increasing IT popularity among students is one of the key focuses of the company", the regional director of Microsoft in Russia Kirill Semenihin said.

"We appreciate the prospects of cooperation with Microsoft and the use of international experience in the modernization of the university work, the head of NEFU IT Management Peter Ivanov said. - I am sure that together we will not only enhance the quality of training at the university, but also will influence on the development of an innovative approach in the education system in Yakutia".
