PWC representatives met with NEFU students

PricewaterhouseCoopers, multinational network of firms, providing consulting services and audit, met with NEFU students on March 5. PwC representatives held presentation, master class and testing on possible employment of the students at the federal university.

Employees of the company held with students master class on the successful detection and prevention of fraud in large organizations. "Unfortunately, there is no organization, insured from financial fraud. There are affected corporations such as Olympus, AOL, Parmalat and hundreds of other well-known brands", PwC representative Andrei Ten said.

3,037 top managers in 54 countries took part in the study of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Of these, 30% admitted that at least once they participated in financial fraud during the past 12 months. Most of these operations occur in the field of communication, and the most used in the fraudulent manipulation is middle management. "The most common factor in the crime is a desire to avenge the employer because of poor income or dismissal", noted at the meeting.

"The fight against fraud is one of the main objectives of PwC. There are two types of fraud, the Manager of PwC Audit Services Maksim Khayrullin said. - This is a misreporting, arising in the process of unfair financial reporting and misreporting resulting from asset misappropriation".

Guests held for students testing, the successful implementation of which makes it possible to undertake an internship at the Novosibirsk branch of the company. Test requires knowledge of accounting, economics, finance, English and willingness to frequent relocations. Graduate of the Financial and Economic Institute Aleksey Mandarov has already passed the first stage of the test.
