On 29-30 June, within the frameworks of the IV All-Russian Conference “Problems and prospects of the development of Higher Education and Science of the Russian Federation”, an Independent Community Council of the Contest “100 Best Russian Universities and Research Institutes” awarded North-Eastern Federal University by the title award winner, diploma award and gold medal, and the Rector Evgenia Mikhailova was awarded badge of honor “Rector of the Year”.

Also, NEFU won a prize in the nomination “The best socially oriented University”, and Sergey Popov, the Head of Mathematical Analysis Department of the Institute of Mathematics and Information Science, was recognized as “The Best Teacher”.

Evaluating the Conference results, Evgenia Mikhailova pointed, that the Russian Education has more prospects, than problems, and North-Eastern Federal University is example.

“This award is advance. Many plans are come true in NEFU during two and a half years, innovation development programmes are developed and work, and there is a cooperation with business structures”, Evgenia Mikhailova pointed.
