Forty-nine enterprises and educational institutions presented their developments and products at the “Pro-Expo” exhibition held within the frameworks of the World Skills of Russia championship. Small Innovation Businesses and educational and scientific laboratories presented the results of scientific developments of North-Eastern Federal University. The Far Eastern stage of the championship started on April 16 in Yakutsk.

"The Federal University pays a lot of attention to the development of applied knowledge of students. We have a successful practice - by the end of graduation many graduates also get vocational specialties", Afanasy Savvin, NEFU Pro-rector for Innovation Development and Commercialization of Scientific Research, said at the opening of the exhibition.

NEFU Small Innovation Businesses such as “Amtek”, “Perspektiva”, “Multidimensional Technologies”, laboratories “Mechatronics” and “Mechanochemical biotechnology”, “Orekh” student business incubator presented their exhibits. “Mechanochemical Technologies” laboratory organized a presentation of its product: the lichen-based food supplement.

"The World Skills of Russia championship is a celebration of artists, thoughtful, thinking and creative people. It is gratifying that not only the federal university participates in the exhibition and secondary vocational education institutions, but also the school technoparks from the regions of the republic", Fevroniya Shishigina, Deputy Minister of Vocational Education, Training and Placement of Personnel of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), said.

The Far Eastern stage of the championship was held in Yakutsk from 16 to 19 April, and professionals from seven regions of the Far East participated in it. Professional Skills competitions will cover the following competencies: “Welding Technology”, “Hairstyling”, “Cookery”, “Network and System Administration” and others.
