Student Sports: NEFU draught player Zhao Hanqing won the Asian Championship

Student Zhao Hanqing from China, studying at NEFU Institute of Physical Education and Sports, represented the university at the Asian International Draughts Championship among women. At the end of the tournament, she became a champion in two programs, according to NEFU Center for Mind Sports.

Zhao Hanqing graduated from children's sports school of mind sports in Hubei (China). "Due to the fact that there is no university-based educational programs for draughts in China, she came to Yakutia. Our athletes have met her in Holland in 2012, when she became the world champion among young people - Director of NEFU Center for Mind Sports Yuri Nikiforov said. – When she knew about the institute and the guys who are making great results, she decided to enter".

Champion was held from April 25 to May 6 in Tashkent (Uzbekistan). Zhao Hanqing participated in two programs: in rapid and blitz, and has won among twenty athletes from China, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
