Li Fenglin: "It is important to mutually share with what you have with each other"
Li Fenglin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Director of the Institute for Social Development in Europe and Asia of the Development Research Center of the State Council of China, expressed his opinion about cooperation between the countries, conflicts and Russia's policy in the context of international relations on June 25, within the discussion "Geopolitics of the East. XXI Century ".
"Frankly speaking, mostly there are conflicts between the US and China in this region. Scientists call it the structural contradictions, because the US, as the only superpower, finds that only America is a leader in the world. China, in turn, offers a new model of relations: it is the absence of confrontation, mutual respect and mutually beneficial cooperation, - he said. - It seems to me that the position of the United States is likely a manifestation of uncertainty or confusion. They must revise their thinking and come to the realization that individual rule of the one country has already passed and starts to become an ancient history. It is necessary to build a new relationship - equal and with all nations".
He noted that Russia temporarily changes the emphasis in terms of cooperation with the countries. "Due to the sanctions, Russia felt the need for an early development of relations with the countries of the East. It is right in terms of politics and economics. Many scientists say that a turn to the East is an irreversible process. I do not agree, I believe that Russia will remain Russia, which needs both East and West".
"I'll tell you one thing: it is always important to mutually share with what you have with each other", the Ambassador said.
