NEFU opened Summer School “Russian Language and Culture in Siberia”

From July 6 to 26, International Summer School "Russian Language and Culture in Siberia" for foreign students will be held at the federal university for the third time. Twelve participants from Palestine, Thailand, Switzerland, France, Japan, Indonesia, Korea will study the Russian language.

"Development thrust of the Russian Federation is focused on the Asia Pacific Region. Such circumstances create favorable conditions for young people from all over the world to study the Russian language. Knowledge of the Russian language for young foreigners is a big advantage. After participating in the summer school, some students continue to study at NEFU", Mikhail Fedorov, Pro-rector for Pedagogical Education of the Federal University, said.

Long-term experience of the international summer school of the Russian language, the purpose of which is to increase the level of knowledge of the Russian language, the acquaintance with the history and ethnography of the Sakha people, including development of the international cooperation in the field of education, indicates the growing interest of foreign students to participate in this project.

The summer school offers intensive course in Russian language, lectures on the history, ethnography, natural sciences, archeology and culture of our region. Besides the Russian language, students will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the culture, way of life and the life of the Yakut people.
