NEFU and Nazarbayev University to organize joint research project

North-Eastern Federal University to cooperate with Nazarbayev University (Kazakhstan) in science and secondary vocational education. This was announced during the visit of the delegation of the Yakut university in Astana at the end of October.
During the visit, NEFU Rector Evgenia Mikhailova signed an agreement on the organization of the international research project "Continuing professional education in the contest of contemporary transformations and their impact on the quality of teacher’s life: a comparative aspect (the example of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and the Republic of Kazakhstan". "The goal of the project is to study theoretical and methodological foundations of adult education, including teacher education, under modern conditions", according to the website of Nazarbayev University.
The delegation also included the Vice-Rector for Strategic Development Vasily Savvinov, the Director of the Institute of Continuing Professional Education Olga Chorosova. The prospects of cooperation between two universities were presented at the scientific and educational forum “Education, forward!” held in June at NEFU. At that time, the Executive Director of the Higher School of Education Aida Sagintayeva and Director of Research Institute Kairat Kurakbayev represented Kazakh University.
NEFU representatives met with administration of AEO "Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools" and its Center of Excellence, where possibilities of future cooperation were also discussed.
