The election of NEFU International Club was held on December 5. John Anderson, third-year student of NEFU Institute of Finances and Economics (IFE), won a presidential election with 72 votes.

Head of NEFU International Relations Office Vladlen Kugunurov noted that foreign students, who come to study at NEFU, are very motivated. "They are special students - not everyone comes here. They come not only for education, but also to see how people live in the North, which difficulties and challenges they face", he said.

Candidates for the presidency of NEFU International presented their electoral programs and offered ideas for improving organization work. "I am very happy about this victory. Foreign students at NEFU live as one big family. I think we will continue to live in peace and harmony, and after graduation, becoming good professionals, we will be friends and continue communication", John Anderson said.

A fourth-year student of the Institute of Medicine Azizhon Muminov became vice-president with 41 votes. "My friend John will work hard for the good of students, and I will help him in this. Our common goal is to develop and improve our organization", he said.

Mikhail Prisyajny, NEFU Vice Rector for Natural Sciences and International Cooperation, called NEFU International activists to adopt the best practices from the previous structure, use potential for the club development and abilities of each student. Let us remember, the first president of the organization was Hager Tejada, student of the Institute of Medicine, from Peru, and then Yana Egorova, IFE student, held the chairmanship.
