Simulation Center of NEFU Clinic was awarded the status of Level II Simulation and Attestation Center according to ROSOMED. According to NEFU Institute of Medicine, it gives the right to accredit healthcare professionals of the region.
Center Director Aleksandr Potapov notes that since 2016 the attestation procedure of medical staff was changed to accreditation – the medical staff have to pass theoretical and simulation tests. “The centers are divided into three categories – centers of regional, district and federal level. We were awarded the second level, testifying that we can accredit the entire district. With the transition to the new system, the medical staff can pass this procedure at our center", he said.
The Accreditation Committee of Public Organization ROSOMED assessed centers on various factors: equipment and comfort, academic degree and qualification of employees, the number of trainees in the center and the levels of training and attestation.
"Now students of NEFU Junior Medical Academy, students of the Institute of Medicine take courses at the Simulation Center. The medical staff, undergoing certification cycles, regardless of specialization, pass cardiopulmonary resuscitation training", Aleksandr Potapov said.
