11 young innovators passed the qualifying round of “U.M.N.I.K.-2016”

Projects of young innovators of North-Eastern Federal University were selected to participate in the finals of the contest "U.M.N.I.K.-2016", according to the Arctic Innovation Center.

On April 19, the first qualifying round of the contest of youth innovation projects "U.M.N.I.K.-2016" was held within the framework of the XX Lavrentyev Readings, where 11 works were selected to participate in the finals.

"Projects are getting better and better, said Tatiana Bravina, Chairman of the Expert Council, Deputy Director of Technopark "Yakutia". – You should focus on the commercialization of the project, as this year the fund will focus precisely on a commercially profitable projects".

The experts were specialists, teachers representing four fields: information technology, medicine of the future, advanced materials and technologies of their creation, new devices and hardware systems. The projects were assessed on two main criteria: scientific novelty and commercialization.

"This year there were more finalists. We have achieved such results due to the active interest of the participants. "U.M.N.I.K." gives a great chance to prove themselves, gain valuable experience", said Alyona Arkhipova, Director of "OREH" Student Business Incubator.
