Erasmus+ to train bachelors who are ready to work after graduation

Members of the Franco-Russian Seminar on the project "Applied Bachelor's Degree in Open and Distance Learning" met with the rector of North-Eastern Federal University Evgenia Mikhailova on May 12.

"Yakutia has extensive experience in construction in the permafrost, which can be used not only in all regions of Russia, located in the Arctic and northern regions, but also in many foreign countries, said NEFU Rector Evgenia Mikhailova. - The new program, which launches now - is a serious project, involving in-depth study of Physics, Engineering, Economics, and Mechanics".

Director of NEFU Engineering and Technical Institute Terenty Kornilov said that the Applied Bachelor’s Degree program will be conducted in the form of open and distance learning. "Last year, in cooperation with the universities of China, Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, we have won a grant for the development of Applied Bachelor’s Degree program in the field of energy efficient and environmentally friendly building. The project will last for three years", said the project director of the institute.

The program will train bachelors, who will be ready to start work after graduation without master’s degree. According to Jean Noel Laurent Pashu, project manager, the Chairman of the International Department of the Academy of Grenoble: "The educational program will take into account all the requirements of potential employers to the specialist competences. Also, the program will be in accordance with the Bologna process and the accepted standards of dual certification".

Let us remember that the Franco-Russian Seminar "Applied Bachelor's Degree in Open and Distance Learning in "Energy efficiency in construction in the Russian Federation, China and Azerbaijan" took place at North-Eastern Federal University from 10 to 14  May.
