NEFU entered QS University Rankings of Emerging Europe and Central Asia

British Company QS Quacquarelli Symonds presented QS University Rankings: Emerging Europe & Central Asia (ЕЕСА). North-Eastern Federal University entered the ranking for the first time and took the 151th position.
Russian universities have strengthened leadership, taking the first, second and third place in the ranking, according to NEFU Vice Rector for Strategic Development Vasily Savvinov. "Moscow State University and Novosibirsk State University took the first place, Saint Petersburg State University has risen from the fifth to third place. Charles University in Prague, Czech Technical University, Tartu, Warsaw, Jagiellonian, Bosphorus, Masaryk University entered the top 10 universities", said Vice Rector of the federal university.
QS Quacquarelli Symonds forms the ranking for the third year, analyzing the work of universities and institutes of 30 countries in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. "North-Eastern Federal University entered the ranking for the first time. We showed good results on the effective use of Internet resources, the regularity of scientific publications of teaching staff and proportion of staff with PhD", Vasily Savvinov said.
