NEFU and Jilin University to expand cooperation

The delegation of North-Eastern Federal University congratulated colleagues from Jilin University (the People’s Republic of China). According to Vice Rector for Security Gennady Zolotarev, the Yakut and Chinese universities have been cooperating since 2015.

Vice Rector of Jilin University Mr. Wu Zhen expressed readiness to expand cooperation with North-Eastern Federal University, according to Vice Rector Gennady Zolotarev. "The event was attended by representatives of 91 universities from 20 countries. Russia was represented by 14 university and scientific delegations, including representatives of the Yakut federal university", said the vice rector.

NEFU representatives took part in the Educational Forum "Inheritance and Innovation, Responsibility and Challenges: the Development of Higher Education from a Global Perspective" and shared their experiences with the teaching staff of Jilin University.

Chinese University cooperates with 245 universities, research institutes and organizations worldwide. Within the framework of cooperation, the students and master’s students of North-Eastern Federal University take language courses in China.

Jilin University was founded in 1946 as North-eastern University College in Harbin. In 2004, the former University of Military Logistics joined the university. There are 70,000 full-time students, with over 24 thousand doctoral and postgraduate students.
