Master’s student Vitaly Ivanov to present NEFU at the International Web Programming Competition

The selection round of the International Web Programming Competition was held at North-East Federal University. The winner was graduate student of NEFU Institute of Mathematics and Informatics Vitaly Ivanov, who will present the university in the finals on March 28.

 "The competition gives a chance to students to demonstrate the skills of programming, solving IT tasks, meet with potential employers. Some tasks can be called "classical", for example, the operation algorithm with prime numbers, with different graphs. The winner coped with all the tasks, showing a deep knowledge of the programming languages ​​HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP”, said organizer, head of NEFU Student Development Management Semen Okhlopkov. The criteria for selecting a winner were the completeness of the task and method of solving the problem.

Student of the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics Georgy Antipin took the second place, the third place was shared by students of IMI Aleksandr Kupriyanov and NEFU Institute of Finances and Economics Ivan Matveyev.

The winner pointed the high level of knowledge of competitors and challenging tasks. "The tasks were of applied nature, mathematical, but more of a practical plan. I have an experience in working with these languages, as I am freelance worker. Other participants were good, showed a good level of training", said the winner of the selection round, Vitaly Ivanov.
