From June 20 to June 22, the delegation of North-Eastern Federal University visited the partner universities in the Northeast of the People's Republic of China, within the frameworks of which met with the heads of universities on cooperation.

The issues of creating the Center for Chinese Language and Culture on the basis of NEFU, the Center for Russian Language and Culture on the basis of Changchun University of Science and Technology were discussed during the meeting with representatives of Changchun University of Science and Technology. The agreements reached were signed by the rector and Professor Qin Lei.

On June 21, a meeting was held with the rector of Heilongjiang Oriental University - Professor Sun Hei. The universities signed an agreement in the frameworks of which it is planned to launch a joint bachelor's program “Russian as a foreign language in tourism” in the form of "2 + 2" - two years of study in China, then in Yakutia in 2018-2019 academic year. Chinese students will learn Russian under the supervision of teachers from NEFU. Bachelors will receive two diplomas at the end of the educational program and will be able to find work in the field of tourism.

NEFU Rector Evgenia Mikhailova also visited Harbin Polytechnic University, where she met with the Pro-rector of the university, academician Zhen Nantsi. Heads of partner universities summed up the results of cooperation in recent years and confirmed their wish to develop bilateral cooperation. Thus, at the meeting, opportunities for student exchanges and cooperation in the field of Arctic research were discussed. In particular, a joint summer school with the participation of students and teachers of Harbin Polytechnic University is planned for 2018.

Heads of all partner universities received official invitations to visit North-Eastern Federal University named after M.K. Ammosov. The first return visit is planned by Changchun University of Science and Technology this December. The rector will lecture at NEFU and officially open the Center for Chinese Language and Culture on the basis of the Yakut University.
