The Faculty of Road Construction established on November 27, 2006. It was created by the Yakut road builders with the support of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Informatization of the Sakha Republic(Yakutia) on the basis of two departments: "Highways and Aerodromes" of the Engineering Faculty and "Engineering Science" of the Teacher Training Institute.

The purpose of the faculty was not only to train highly qualified personnel - engineers, road builders, mechanics, and teachers of automobile engineering. In addition, the aim was to organize and strengthen the research activities in the field of improving a design, organization and technology of a construction, repair and maintenance of roads and bridges in the Far North, particularly in Sakha Republic (Yakutia).

We train specialists in five specialties, and three areas of a highway construction, operation and maintenance of transport technology, and pedagogics of vocational education.
