The Institute of Medicine at M.K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University (founded in 1957) may be called as one of the oldest higher medicine institutes in the North-East of Russia. The Institute of Medicine is known both in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and outside of it, as a real source of practical and scientific and pedagogic personnel training. We have the students not only from the Republic, but from Magadan, Irkutsk, the Republic of Buryatia and other regions of Russia.
The structure of the Institute of Medicine is well thought out and fully corresponds to the functional tasks. Pre-graduate training is conducted at 18 departments in 6 specialties:
