NEFU and Izhevsk State Technical University to establish contacts for cooperation

On February 9, NEFU Rector Evgenia Mikhailova met with the head of the Center for Strategic Initiatives and Development of Izhevsk State Technical University Mikhail Pletnev and associate professor of ISTU Power Engineering Department Dmitry Plotnikov. The subject of negotiations was the expansion of cooperation between universities.

"Udmurtia is a small region, but ISTU historically found its specific niche - arms and military-industrial complex. Working in close connection with the production, our university has achieved success in the field of engineering, practical and theoretical robotics, Mikhail Pletnev said. The university already has experience of working with NEFU, we have previously collaborated with the Department of Processing Technology of Precious Stones and Metals of Physics and Technology Institute".

During the visit to NEFU, Izhevsk University delegation will meet with the Deans of educational departments, Pro-rectors. Guests will visit the Faculty of Road Construction, Engineering, Physics and Technology, Medical Institutes and Small Innovative Businesses of NEFU. According to the results of a three-day visit to the federal university, common point will be found and specific cooperation offers will be formed. In particular, it can be the establishment of a joint study group with a network scenario of training.
