Education in Switzerland: NEFU and the University of Lausanne to cooperate on student exchange programs
Students of two philological faculties of North-Eastern Federal University and the University of Lausanne (Switzerland) can take part in a new exchange program of studying foreign languages, professor Patrick Serio said at a meeting with journalists on April 24.
"For a man who is studying languages, it is important to become part of the culture and lifestyle of a country. Exchange programs are not only a formal internship when universities send students to each other for knowledge. This is a unique experience for the young man to see the world from the perspective of a philologist, researcher", Patrick Serio said.
Currently, the University of Lausanne has about 12,000 students and 2,200 researchers, including about 1,500 students from other countries who are studying at the university in various educational programs, including exchange programs with internationally known universities.
During four days of work at the university, he read more than five lectures and workshops for philologists of six faculties and institutes, and got acquainted with scientific works of colleagues. Let us remember that Professor Patrick Serio came to NEFU within the scientific seminar "Language and discourse in modern theories".
